"Let them eat cake!"
Those words have often been attributed to Marie Antoinette who is said to have spoken them
when confronted by the poverty of the French people begging outside the gates of Versailles. While life as the Queen of France was an oppulent affair, shortages of bread were known to exist among the French peasants. The translation of the original French quote goes something like this: "If there be no bread, give them the crust off of the pâté".

All in all, this new mannequin from Cook's Collection exemplifies the oppulence of that era with ornamental brocade ribbons and flowers. Open in front to reveal two interior shelves for jewelry storage, this mannequin is also fitted with arms for bracelet and necklace display.

Most definitely a mannequin fit for a Queen!
